A guitar-shaped wall clock, built from a scrap piece of plywood. A good one-sheet project for using up an offcut that’s too nice to throw out.
Tracing and cutting the shape
The guitar body gets traced onto the plywood scrap, then cut out and sanded and shaped until the outline reads as an actual guitar and not just a rough blob.
The clock mechanism
A recess gets routed into the body for the clock mechanism to sit in, so the hardware is flush against the face instead of standing proud.
Finish and reveal
Paint goes on, then the hands get added for the final reveal.
